Dr. Wayne M.Williams, M.D., FACEP, is a diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He has been board certified in Emergency Medicine for over 25 years , and has extensive experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care and Occupational Medicine.
Dr. Williams obtained undergraduate training at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and graduated from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1979. At 24 years of age, he was the second youngest in the class of over 100 physicians.
In 1992 Dr. Williams founded the Dekalb Health Care Coalition (DHCC). This was a non-profit community based advocacy group for health care issues affecting the communities in south Dekalb county.
He is founder and current medical director of AMCare Medical Clinic located in Tyrone, GA. He is also the medical director of R&K Wellness located at the same address. Dr. Williams has a deep understanding of the many factors that contributes to weight gain.
